Men's Skinny True Religion Jeans
at Wednesday, July 29, 2009
True Religion jeans are the ultimate in premium denim. It's often said that you get what you pay for and this is no exception. Founded less than a decade ago, True Religion Denim is quickly becoming the leader in the category. Although sometimes a bit overpriced for my taste, everyone needs to try at least one pair in their lifetime. They are quality jeans and will last more than just a few wears.
Skinny jeans are definitely a strong trend in men's fashion right now. The thing I love about these True Religion skinny jeans are that they are not extreme. They have a skinny fit, but within reason. So if you want to follow the trend, but don't quite have the body type for extremely slim skinny jeans - this may be your ticket. What have you thought about True Religion denim? A quality buy? Or a bit overpriced? I say it's somewhere in between, but trust me ... you will get noticed when your wearing a pair.

Men's Cashmere V-Neck Sweaters
at Tuesday, July 28, 2009
Cashmere is the ultimate luxury fabric. The v-neck sweater is a classic staple in men's fashion. Put the two together and you've got something great. Cashmere is a bit more expensive then your typical cotton fabric blend, but you will be amazed at the comfort and quality that cashmere brings. You can pair it with dark denim, a classic khaki or with a dress pant. Use it as layer over a perfect button-up or over a solid tee. The v-neck sweater is hard to wear wrong. Today we're featuring four of our favorite cashmere v-neck sweater choices.
J. Crew Cashmere V-Neck Sweater - $188 (13 colors)

Funny T-Shirts: Threadless Tees
at Monday, July 27, 2009
Today we are featuring a few of our favorite new funny t-shirts from Threadless Tees. I love dressing up and looking good, but sometimes all you need is a pair of jeans and a sweet graphic tee. I love Threadless because the designs are from talented amateur designers from all over the world. Also, with hundreds of different designs, you can find some great deals. Did I mention in addition to t-shirts you can apply the designs to hoodys as well? I personally love graphic tees, just make sure not to make it an everyday wear. Mix it up.

Men's High Fashion: Ralph Lauren Black Label
at Saturday, July 25, 2009
Ralph Lauren Black Label represents the best in men's fashion. If price isn't a worry ... this is the pick for you. For most of us the black label by Ralph Lauren is going to be a bit out of our price range, but it is still fun to look at. Made with only the highest quality fabrics, the black label is on the edge of fashion trends. If you want to stick out from the crowd these pieces will surely do it. With just a quick look it is apparent that this is something special. One thing I personally love about the brand is that compared to the other Ralph Lauren brands, the black label has a slimmer, more modern fit. You can see from the pictures that these clothes fit great. So if you've got a couple thousand dollars to spend go for the Black Label ... the best men's fashion has to offer.

What Not To Wear Fashion Advice: Clinton Kelly
at Friday, July 24, 2009
Clinton Kelly, from TLC's "What Not To Wear", is arguably becoming one of the most recognized faces in men's fashion. A former fashion magazine editor, Clinton Kelly has become every woman's favorite fashion advice giver. Hopefully you are not in need of a serious fashion upheaval, but we can all use some fashion advice from time to time. I saw this on TLC's website and thought it was a good thing to pass along. Here are a few fashion tips straight from the source.Biggest fashion pet peeve: The “casualization” of America. Don’t get me wrong -- casual wear is important, and can be fun and stylish. However, on the whole, we’ve stopped caring about what clothing is appropriate for a given situation. Just a few examples: flip-flops are never appropriate for work (unless you work in a spa); pajamas are not appropriate for the supermarket (unless you’ve got the flu and nobody else on the planet is willing to shop for you); and butt crack is appropriate nowhere (that’s right, nowhere).
A common fashion blunder: Dressing twenty years younger than you are. Many adults think that dressing like a teenager makes them look younger, when in fact the exact opposite is true. It just makes you look like you’re trying to compete with 18-year-olds – and that’s a losing battle. The 18-year-old is always going to look younger.
One thing I know: There are no quick fashion fixes. If you’ve got rotten teeth, you don’t just bleach them to make them look better. You fix them. If your wardrobe is rotten, you can’t just throw on a cute shoe and think it’s going to work. Throw out the garbage and start replacing it with pieces that work.
Favorite rule of thumb: If you don’t have fit, you don’t have anything. Learn the basics of fit and you’re off to a great start. For example, shoulder seams should sit on your shoulders (I dare you to say that five times fast); your jackets should always close; your buttons shouldn’t pull; your pants should hang about a half-inch from the ground. I could go on and on.
Favorite accessory: For myself, pocket squares and shoes with an elongated toebox.
Favorite splurge item: Cashmere sweaters. It’s an unhealthy addiction at this point.
Favorite budget item: Sunglasses. I keep scratching or breaking my favorites and I’m getting sick of spending money on expensive ones.
Celebrity Looks: Zac Efron Hairstyles
at Thursday, July 23, 2009
Zac Efron is one of the upcoming stars in hollywood. Long shaggy hairstyles have become his signature look. Known for his roles in Disney's High School Musical franchise, Zac Efron has become a quite the style icon. Here he pulls off three variations of the shaggy, side-swept hair look as well as a spiked look as well. You may have seen some of his slicked backed hairstyles at recent award shows - not a good look - so we will avoid those. These long hairstyles works well with a variety of hair, but is best with hair that is mostly straight with a medium texture. A simple styling cream is enough to add a little bit of control to the look. Is Zac Efron's hairstyle a hit or a miss?

at Monday, July 20, 2009
The men's fall collection at Kenneth Cole just hit the shelves today so we thought we'd take an early look at the looks that will be big this year in men's fashion. I have become a big fan of Kenneth Cole recently. The brand is on the cutting edge of trends and has a sophisiticated yet young feel. The men's fall collection is no exception.

Here are a few of my favorite from this years fall collection.
Long Sleeve Tonal Dobby Stripe Shirt - $110
Long Sleeve Yard Stripe Shirt - $78

Men's Ties: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
at Friday, July 17, 2009
The big Nordstrom Anniversary sale this weekend is the perfect excuse to stock up on your favorite men's fashions. Neckties are often thought of as the worst gift you could give to a guy, but let's be honest - a good tie is a must. Nordstrom offers a wide variety of designer ties. Today we're featuring four of my favorite ties from the Anniversary Sale.
Ties are far from boring. Skinny ties have made a comeback in a big way the last few years. Remember when wearing a narrow tie to make sure the lapels on you jacket are narrow as well. Otherwise the two differing widths will clash.
For examples of this rule and suiting deals from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale check out this great blog post: Narrow Tie/Narrow Lapels = Genius - MyFashionCents

BOSS Woven Silk Tie - $59.90 (Was $95.00)
Ted Baker Woven Silk Tie - $49.90 (Was $79.50)
BOSS Black Woven Silk Tie - $59.90 (Was 95.00)
Ike Behar Woven Silk Tie - $55.90 (Was $89.00)

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for Men
at Thursday, July 16, 2009
It's that time of year. The fall collections are about to hit the racks, but first we've got to have the big summer sale! Now through August 3rd Nordstrom is having a sale on all men's apparell, shoes, outerwear, and everything else in the store. Although Nordstrom is known for being quite pricey, you can get some great deals these next two weeks. I personally love men's sales at Nordstrom because you can score some great designer apparell for much less than it normally goes for. If it is still a bit out of your price range be sure to check out the men's sale on The Rail. The Rail is Nordstrom's brand for young men and you can find some great stuff cheaper than designer brands. Happy summer sale shopping!
Celebrity Looks: Ashley Parker Angel Hairstyles
at Wednesday, July 15, 2009
Ashley Parker Angel has been an on again off again celebrity for years. Initially he was a member of O-Town, the boy band who never really caught on. Then he had a reality show on MTV focused on his attempt at solo success and his new marriage that later ended in divorce. Most recently he starred in the Broadway production of Hairspray as Link Larkin. Today Ashley Parker Angel is making some noise because he released some shirtless pictures on his twitter account - most likely an attempt to get some attention.Despite all of that, he has had some interesting hair over the ages and we've liked some of it. From short and spikey (not pictured), to shaggy, to short with long bangs, Ashley Parker Angel has tried it all out. The look with long bangs is best for medium texture hair and oval, oblong, square, or heart face shapes styled with a light mousse.
TOMS Vegan Men's Shoes
at Tuesday, July 14, 2009
Vegan shoes for men are becoming more and more popular every year. The shoes featured today are animal friendly in every way.TOMS Shoes are one of the best stories in fashion right now. If you are not familiar with the story let me fill you in on this one of a kind story:
In 2006 an American traveler, Blake Mycoskie, befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes, inspired by a popular Argentinean design, given to a child in need. One for One. Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes. Since then, TOMS Shoes has inspired a fashion movement, but the goal to provide shoes for the world's poor is still in force.
A number of different styles of TOMS Shoes are now available. For those who are environmentally friendly, TOMS Shoes makes a number of Vegan shoes for men. These men's shoes are made without any animal by-products and are friendly to our furry friends and are surprisingly comfortable.

Men's Tan Through Swimwear
at Monday, July 13, 2009
Working on the perfect tan? Hate tan lines? Than tan through men's swimwear is the right match for you. Thanks to new fabric technology you can can tan right through your board shorts. As crazy as it sounds ... it's true! The suits act like a SPF 6 (allowing most rays right through). The fabric tends to be a bit thinner than most swimwear, but it's really not too noticeable. The suits are machine washable and quick drying. There are also a variety of tan through shirts, but I would probably steer clear. They are not exactly the best looking shirts on the market. So if you want a great tan and a converstion piece try tan through swimwear this summer.

Men's Board Shorts For Your Body Type
at Sunday, July 12, 2009
When you are shopping for board shorts remember these tips that will help you find swimwear that best complements your body type.1. If you are tall and thin look for board shorts that reach your knees to help break up the vertical line of your body.
2. If you are not exactly lean avoid busy patterns and extreme colors.
3. Contrary to popular belief ... oversized board shorts do not make you look thin, they actually do the opposite.
4. Solid colors create an illusion of height on shorter men.
5. If you are short look for board shorts that are a bit shorter. Long board shorts will appear to swallow your legs and make them appear shorter than they really are.
Men's Swimwear: Swim Trunks
at Saturday, July 11, 2009
Earlier this summer we talked about men's board shorts. Board shorts are a great way to add some fashion to your time at the pool or the beach. As great as boardshorts can be, are you looking for something a bit more trendy and edgy? Swim trunks may be the best option for you. Swim trunks were the swimwear fashion of the 50's and 60's and before. They are shorter than most boardshorts, but not as revealing as speedos or volley shorts. They are a great choice if you want to show off the beach body you've worked so hard to get without appearing overly into yourself. This look is great for guys in their upper 20's and 30's who are still stylish and in shape, but don't feel the need to always be in boardshorts. That being said, younger trendsetting guys can pull this look off as well. Here are a few examples we found.

J-Crew Men's Striped Swim Trunks - $54.50
Boss "I Am Male" Swim Trunks - $49.00 (Avaliable in 5 colors)
Diesel County Spikes Swim Boxer - $66.00
Gap Solid Swim Trunks - $14.99 (Was $39.50; avaliable in 8 colors)

Express Extra Slim Jeans
at Wednesday, July 08, 2009As is the case with all jeans and especially extra slim jeans... you need to try them on before buying. These jeans will not look good on all guys. You've got to have the right body type for it. You want to avoid looking like you're wearing skin tight jeans. That isn't the point. You want a defintely slim look, but only to an extent. You defintely don't want to look like an 80's punk rocker.
This is one item I'll defintely be picking up. Did I mention these extra slim straight jeans come in 7 washes? Variety, Variety, Variety. A pair for everyday of the week (Ok that might be a bit overboard). Have any of you bought a pair? What do you think? I'm thinking men's extra slim jeans are here to stay.
Men's Skin Care: Problem Skin
at Tuesday, July 07, 2009
For many years people assumed men didn't care about their skin. While women had aisle after aisle of skincare products, men were left with slim pickings. The last twenty years have seen a vast change in men's skincare products. Men don't want acne or problem skin just as much as women. In the last few years companies have been inundating the market with men's skincare lines, but which ones work? I am going to share a big secret with you. Often women's products work just as well. Men's skin is a bit different, however, and requires a few unique products.Do you have problem skin prone to breakouts and acne? Join the crowd. Even past puberty men's skin can breakout. I personally have 3 products that are essential to keeping my skin clear.
1. Cetaphil Daily Cleanser is a perfect face wash for daily use. It won't dry you out and it will leave your skin feeling great. It is gentle enough that it won't irritate the skin. Much better than most skin cleansers in my opinion and recommended by dermatologist. It also is non-comedogenic so it won't clog your pores.
2. Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 - Most men don't realize that moisturizing your skin is incredibly important. Moisturizing your skin daily will help alleviate breakouts in the long-run and will make your skin soft and more even.
3. Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Facial Peel - This is my emergency quick fix. When your skin starts to breakout do a quick mini-facial peel at home. I've noticed it clears me up much faster than simply waiting it out. It also evens blotchy spots and leaves your skin amazingly smooth.

Celebrity Looks: Chace Crawford Hairstyle
at Monday, July 06, 2009
Men's Fashion is much more than simply the clothes you wear. I'd say one of the most important parts of your style is your hairstyle. It tells alot about your personality. Today we are taking a look at a popular haircut trend made famous by Chace Crawford: The razor cut. Chace Crawford's hair is a great example of this cut. It is one of my favorites. Rather than using gel for styling ... use a high quality pomade.

Celebrity Looks: Michael Jackson Fashion
at Sunday, July 05, 2009
With all the news about Michael Jackson since his death, I thought it would be fitting to do a number of fashion highlights from the life of Michael Jackson. Whether you cared for him or not, Micheal Jackson was a fashion Icon. Yes, his style at times was odd, but it truly was one of a kind. One signature look of Michael Jackson was the military jacket. He was seen wearing various versions throughout the years. This look might bring you back to your marching band days, but if your the King of Pop... you can pretty much pull anything off.
Celebrities have often copied Micheal Jackson's military jacket look including Kanye West, Rihanna, and Beyonce Knowles.

Deal Of The Week: Kenneth Cole Cire Jacket
at Thursday, July 02, 2009
Every once in a while you see something that you HAVE to have. This was the case with the Kenneth Cole hooded two tone cire jacket for me. What is even better is that it is on sale. More than 50% off the original price in fact. It is also reversible. What could be better than that? Two jackets in one. Even on sale it is a bit pricey at $74.96, but still not bad at all for Kenneth Cole. Let me know what you think. Is it really as great as I think it is? I'm feeling it.

Kenneth Cole Hooded Two Tone Cire Jacket - $74.96 (was $198.00)
